Farm School Saturdays are Almost in Session

Kids and farm animals grow like weeds, and our camps fill up just as quickly!

Deeply Rooted Learning Center has partnered with four different farms across
Cape May County to bring a bit of farm life to every child.

Don't have the time, space, or money to dedicate to raising farm animals and a garden? Then this camp is for your family!

Where we'll meet

Saturdays June-August we'll meet at one of four different farms and homesteads in Cape May County for fun with gardening and animals.

What we'll learn

Each hour-long session features a new theme and includes a story, hands-on farm activities, animal interactions, and a craft to take home.

Learn all about Farm Life at
Four Local South Jersey Farms

The Dunn Farm, Natura Chicks Homestead, Woodland Farm, and  Lambert Farm are four working farms/homesteads run by local Cape May County families. Each farm specializes in certain animal raising, farming, and homesteading practices.

Our Story

Deeply Rooted Learning Center began with faith and a dream of getting families back out into nature to spend time in God's creation. After teaching professionally for years founders Stephanie and Sarah went out on a limb.

They each retired from teaching, started homeschooling to have more time with their children, and began Deeply Rooted Learning Center inside a storefront in Villas, NJ in 2019.

Since then the Learning Center has moved to a multi-room space with classrooms and a library in Cape May Court House, grown to include more than 30 clubs and events, and has served over 2000 kids and families.

Now in its 5th year, the dream continues as we strive to become a hub for learning and traditional skills. Our goal is to help families develop personally, professionally, and spiritually through nature and hands-on learning.

Summer Farm Camp paves the way for more children to experience nature in beautiful and scenic Cape May County. Thank you for being part of the journey!

Real Resources for Real Families

We offer free classes and clubs at a weekly homeschool co-op, plus free or low-cost field trip opportunties, social events, a library, learning materials, and more to local families.

We serve many homeschool, charter school, Coast Guard, immigrant, and alternative learning families so that nobody is left out. We keep our programs free or low-cost so finances are never a barrier to fun and inclusion.

Our Summer Camp and after school programs are open to all students and families!

Join this Summer for up close and personal learning on the farm with chickens, horses, ducks, sheep and more.

"We love nature and that's one of our biggest components that we try to instill in our kids is being good stewards of the Earth so we have beauty to pass down."
