A non-profit education organization based in Cape May County, NJ.
Through homeschool co-op classes, free clubs, seasonal events, and immersive arts and ecology programs, we serve families who seek alternatives to traditional education—especially those in transient or homeschooling communities, including Coast Guard families and those with limited access to enrichment opportunities.
Our programs celebrate the land, history, and stories of South Jersey, helping families grow together through place-based learning and intergenerational connection.
Our methods help to preserve a child’s natural-born curiosity, imagination, and love for learning.
Mission:
To cultivate lifelong learning through nature, the humanities, and community.
Since our founding in 2019, we have grown from a one-room building into a multi-room community learning space with dedicated art and learning space, a library, a stage, and outdoor learning gardens. Our community has expanded exponentially, demonstrating the need for meaningful, affordable education that honors both nature and heritage.
As we look to the future, we are preparing to launch our next chapter—a Living History Farm that will bring the lessons of the past to life and connect children more deeply with the land, their history, and one another.
Our Living History Farm will be a place where families can gather to plant, harvest, cook, and create—while exploring the traditions, stories, and skills that have sustained South Jersey communities for generations.
With heirloom gardens, cultural workshops, storytelling spaces, and sustainable building practices, this farm will be a living classroom where nature and humanities grow side by side.
This project is rooted in our mission to empower the next generation with practical skills, cultural knowledge, and a deep connection to place.
We are more than a learning space—we are a village. Deeply Rooted brings together homeschooling and non-traditionally schooled families to connect, share, and build lasting relationships. In a world where many families feel isolated, we offer a place to belong.
The natural world is our greatest teacher. Through our nature and ecology clubs plus community garden, children learn outdoors—developing a lifelong sense of wonder, stewardship, and respect for the rhythms of the earth.
We celebrate the diverse paths families take in education and life. Every child and caregiver is welcomed, respected, and valued for who they are. Our community is built on mutual care, curiosity, and trust.
We believe every child deserves access to rich learning experiences, regardless of financial background. By offering low- to no-cost gatherings, we honor the reality that alternative education can come with unique financial sacrifices.
We approach every class, club, and event with purpose and passion. Whether planting a seed, telling a story, or creating art, we offer experiences that are both high-quality and heart-centered—grounded in love, creativity, and care.
We teach skills for life—gardening, storytelling, sustainability, and heritage crafts—so that children and families are equipped not just for today, but for a future grounded in resilience, creativity, and community knowledge.
